Default Fireball

I have a 17 FB Jackson Varminter in a cooper 38 that wears a 4.5 x14, and a cooper 21 MTV in 17 Mach 4 that has a 6.5 x 20 on it. Depending on your hunting style and what configuration your rifle is either will work. One thing I have found is the little 17 will reach out if the wind isn't up so the 6.5 -20 may be a better choice if you have a bench style gun. The 4.5-14 will be plenty for a walking style varminter . I like the Zeiss glass, Leupold is ok, but if money is no object definitely NF.

The rifle in question is a varmint extreme and I think appearance wise the 6.5 X 20 may be the better choice. The 4.5 X 14 is probably more than adequate power wise, and in my opinion, it is a perfect match for the model 38 classic configuration. I usually have a scope buried away for a new rifle purchase but in this instance the well done run dry.
Someone noted the Natchez sale but unfortunately there is little left in the categories mention. They either sold out quickly or they had very few to begin with. The prices were certainly right.
Thanks to all the search begins.
Bob

For the value I always look at Sightrons first. I have NF, Leupold, Burris, Zeiss, B&L and Sightron. The FB always wears an old B&L 6-24X for some reason
