Default Browning low-wall hornet

Does anyone know of a load that will produce reasonable accuracy in one of these rifles. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Bob A.

Bob,
11.3 grs. W-296, R-P case. topped off with a 40 gr HP, Sierra's No 1385, WSP primer. Shoots to the same POI as Hornady factory loads out of my Browning low wall. Both shoot 1/2 in or less, on a good day, at 100 yds.
Have never chrono'd it but it is a typical Hornet load and is easy on the cases.
Sounds like you just got it. I am looking for another if you happen to run across one.
Later,
John

I've got a couple of them and they like Win. 296
powder and either the Sierra 40gr Blitz King or the
Calhoon 42gr bullet.

For a bullet that isn't very pointy, the 45gr. Sierra SRN is a terrifically accurate bullet in my current CZHornet. As well, the 40gr. HP Barnes Verminator or whatever they call it, is also very accurate.
: These loads are easily digested in the CZ- 13.3gr. W296 and 40gr. HP and 13.4gr. Lil'Gun with the 45gr. Sierra. This one cranks only 3,100fps in my 'new' rifle, but is very accurate - all 5 shot groups so far run sub .5". My old Hornet used 13.8g.r Lil'Gun with the 45gr. for 3,200fps. This new one is a bit slower for some reason. I use only RP brass in the Hornet, as well as small pistol primers. Never had one pierce. I also crimp with a Lee tool.

the sierra 40 hp would be great for paper punching but is to heavily constructed for critters, it will act like a full metal jacket. try the 40 gr vmax for critters, just don't push it to fast if you want it to be fur friendly.

example of damage done by a 40 gr vmax in a 22 hornet at 3300+ fps 50 yards.

11.5gr W296 with WW brass and the rest the same gives about 2870 fps from my M38, and it too is around 0.5MOA on a still day.

Thanks to everyone for the help. This is really first rate forum with a lot of really knowledgable contributors. And, in response to Iowa 17cal, there is a low-wall for sale on the Guns International site, under the heading of Browning Rifles, Misc., for $1550. That seems rather high, but I thought they were high when you could buy them all day long for less than a grand. But, what do I know.
Again thanks to all for the info.

Bob,
I see them at that price too. Too high for me.
Thanks and good luck,
