Default You guys with Browning 17AH's

How do they feed? I mostly single load my Browning 19 Calhoon but it did feed at one time but now it won't and I don't know why.

My .17 AH Browning feeds the same as it did when it was a .22 Hornet. I don't think Bob Green had to do anything to get it to feed properly.

Default Browning 17 AH

On occassion my 22 Hornet will have a feeding problem, if I am in a hurry. Ironically my 17 AH Micro Hunter has never had an issue one time. Contact Bob Green and ask him for any advice. He does great work for sure.

Mike check your follower. I had a mag that the follower cracked and the scissor spring was on a bind. Could not tell until I took it apart. Let me know if you need a new mag. I can get them at dealer cost. They are still waaaay over priced, but cheaper.

Bummer Mike. If it isn't the mag itself, is it properly attached to the floorplate? Can't think of anything else.... Might have to take up Joe on the magazine offer. I did have to widen the magazine lips slightly towards the front to accommodate the larger shoulder diameter of the 19 Calhoon.

Default Browning feeding problem?

Mike,
Is the bolt not feeding the round up out of the mag at all or is the round just not feeding into the chamber correctly after coming up from the mag?

Default Browning Feeding Problem

Thanks Fellows. The bolt picks up the cartridge fine. There just doesn't seem to be enough "lift" to guide it into the chamber.

Joe I'll look at it tonight and let you know.

Love the rifle Dan.

Mike,On the Micros there is a spring loaded feed ramp right below the chamber. It could be that it is stuck down and or the spring is not working.
