Is there a velocity difference with a suppressor on a rifle and off a rifle? If so, any idea how many fps?

They reduce felt recoil, muzzle flip, and I think they definitely reduce group sizes. Ken. PS. Point of impact changes by couple? Inches depending whether mod on or off.

How much has your POI shifted on average with the suppressor on and off?

On the rifle I’m playing with currently. The POI moves (@100 yds) vertically upwards by 7/8” when i take the moderator off.
Other rifles have changed by up to 2” when removing mod. I don’t know why, but, might be hanging a weight on the muzzle, or barrel harmonics that cause the change. Ken.

Magneto speed Sporter Chronograph
From what I have read, it is the harmonic change in the barrel, that can be effected by the added weight/pressure on a barrel.
It can vary, of course, in different barrels. Some a fair amount and some not so much. More than likely just something we each have too deal with in our particular rifle. Bill K |

I agree with what you’re saying Bill.
Barrel i just tried so i could see POI changes is short and pretty stiff. Think pencil barrels wil vary more. Ken.
