.22 WMR coming back
Well, Let me preference this by saying OH MY!!
Since it was not germane to the conversation I opened a new post, looking around at the Wideners sale I saw they have .22 WMR available. Win 28g at 29.85 per 50 and 35g SP for 134.85 for 200. I'm flabbergasted at the price and really cannot think of anything nice to say. I realize it is simply the market, and I'm hit with it all the time too, but I would not be dusting off my .22 Mag's anytime soon.

Their 22 rimfire is outrageously priced as well. I've seen 325 rd brickss advertised for 20-25 they are selling some at 60. Maybe they bought during the hoarding and paid super high for it and didnt sell it before prices dropped back down.
The local Walmart had 22 mag last night in cci. Can't remember the price but it wasn't out of line. Had probable 20 boxes as well

Widners prices on most of that rimfire ammo is well above current market prices.
For instance, their 555 pack of 22lr winchester is $85, I have purchased it in the last 6 weeks for $39 plus tax, no shipping. That is 7c a round vs their 15 cents a round. And I placed several of the sierra 40 gn bullets in my cart, did the shipping estimate, and it was $27.... It was a great buy, if I wanted to start load development for bullets that normally are the most expensive out there..... I have a list of preferred places I buy from in my toolbar, and now I know why Wideners isn't in that lineup. I believe they were one of the company's selling 22's for way more than the old prices, maybe 2 years ago, and I refuse to buy from places that SCALP their customers. I may be incorrect, but they are not in my list of places to check when the need to buy arises, and I am pretty sure that is why. BTW, those Hornady 30 gn 22 wmr's can be had for ~ $13 a box of 50, if you keep an eye open, and buy before they sell out! Allen |

I was able to buy 2 1/2 (only in the country) boxes at the LGS of the 30gr Hornady's for $15.99 the other day before tax.

I got a 325 brick of .22 auto match from Midway last week for $22.00. Two days ago I picked up a few boxes of Hornady 30gr V Max .22 mag for $16.00 at a LGS.

I bought some CCI 40gr Gamepoints from the LGS a few weeks ago. They were about #$14/50. Not as cheap as they used to be for sure. I bought a few boxes and now I won't have to worry about shooting it. I was down to about 1/2 a box I bought a few boxes of 25gr vmax from them the other day at $5/100.

That is about what I paid in the area for both the Hornady 30 grain V-Max and the CCI 30 grain V-Max as well ya should cause they are the same round in different wrappers and both made by CCI.
