Default Barrel length

what is a barrel length where do yu measure it from is it from the boltface end of chamber or is it from the end of the neck at the start of the lands???

Here in the US, it's from the breech face to the muzzle.

For legal measurements, it is from the muzzle end to the breach face. I think typically revolvers have their barrel length specified from the muzzle to the front of the cylinder? Larry

Yes - except that semi-auto handguns get the same barrel measuring rules as a rifle - from breech face to top of the muzzle.
