410: Sure would he nice to see in the header where you are.
AND in the story where it took place. That's real dedication: 2500 miles is a minimum of 5 days driving each way. That's with long hard days driving too. I've enjoyed many msgs with Ray myself. Always there with info when asked. Good to see he's still at it and glad you had such fun. Thanks for sharing it and the pics with us. Hell of a range for an air rifle, wow! CO2, or pressured air? What PSI? What pellet?

A question for Ray. Is that a Hawke scope?? If so...which one is it? I have a beautiful Hawke here that I bought from Brad Schwartz (Custom Reloading Tools and Small Caliber Club founder along with the 20 SCC cartridge) after he did some testing with it several years ago. It is like new, in the box and I have yet to use it What's up with that??

Charlie:
Extra scopes only mean one thing: You lack a rifle under it! Time to fix that problem.

George, I live in Northern Nevada. Believe it or not Ray does the drive in three days every year!! The man's a tank. He drove 1200 miles the first day...by himself! The air rifle is a PCP FX Wildcat .25 caliber. It's a bullpup...small but has a lot of power. Drives a JSB 25.4 gr pellet at 900+ fps with about 45 fpe. I'm trying to get out to 150 yds on a Sage Rat with it, but haven't accomplished that shot yet. ae35gunner...the scope is a Aztec air rifle scope 5-25x50. It's an excellent air rifle scope. The side focus is the best I've used for air gun work. Charlie, we spent a lot of time with Jim M. (Can his wife cook or what!!). 410gauge

Ted Bier won the 2017 100 yard Bench Rest using an FX and this pellet.
I picked some up and preliminary tests show it is very accurate and has a high BC for long shots. It is the pellet, seems to me, that friend Randy uses near Calgary for gophers to 125yards. But then, there are the bullet moulds. My bro and I made it from central BC to South Western Ontario in 3 1/2 days through Canada - over 3,000miles. Those were 16 hour days in my 3/4 ton Dodge Diesel. The trip back home was only 3 days, though the Northern States- bit shorter, maybe 2,600miles. Long days again, 16 hours. We were always on the + side of 70mph.

Its easy to average 1000+ miles a day by yourself, it takes dedicated passengers and synchronized digestive systems to do it with more than one

GM:
Hey guys, I drove OTR ten years and damned hard to turn 500 in a day. Semi though, still ran it at 80+- much of the time. Ga. to Seattle many times R/T's for months. My experience was ONLY 976,000 miles though, just less than ten years. Much over 500 a day is gambling on dozing off and taking others with you. Just chalk it up to MY opinion, no need to argue about it.
