Default 722 Action for sale

722 action 223 bolt face. Receiver and lug trued by Kevin Weaver . F/P bushed and Sako extractor installed by Greg Tannel. Trigger is a Timney set at a hair under 2lbs. Has ULA safety so it rides the receiver like a 700. Gre-tan F/P assembly. 700 BDL bottom metal. Box follwer and action screws included. Everything but the trigger has been cera-coated in matte black

Action has a Pac-Nor 1/9 Fluted #4 at 22 inches. Just a WAG but there should be plenty of barrel to make a 18inch + 17AH.

FFL rules apply. $550.00 and I will split the shipping. I have a banser high tech. I will throw in for another $100.00.

Selling to funs a Stiller action.

email me for pics.

With some extra fitting. 722s ride a little lower. if you were going to bed anyway it is not a big deal.

I need to post some pics in the am.

I am looking for a reminton action to build a 223AI, and was planning on putting it in a hs-precision or bell and carlson medelist stock. so I wasnt planning on bedding on acount of the aluminum bedding blocks already in the stocks. will the action work in these stocks. I dont know if either company makes stocks for the remington 722 action. what is the banser high tech

Sorry this took so long. Here are pics. Let me know if you guys need others.

Rippit, IMHO any stock with a F/L bedding block needs a skim bed to pull out the full potentail. My 2 cents, unless a stock is carved from wood to fit YOUR action it will need some glass. A call to HS or Bell and Carlson would let you know about fitting, the are not exact but can be made to work. I hog out alot of materiel, then fit the stock to the action with glass, so this one was a breeze. Stock is currently spoken for to a 10 year old getting a new deer rifle this year.

The cerra-coat is a super flat black baked on ceramic finish. It get cleaned with a damp rag. The action has some minor handleing marks. Lighting makes it look like rust. 3 day inspection there is no corrosion on this action.

What is it chambered for now? is the barrel a 17cal? You said it has a 223 boltface with the extractor do you know if that would work ok for a 17ah without having to redo the extractor?
thanks
Greg

Default 722

A conversion to 17 AH will require boltface and extractor modification.

It is a 17-222AI. The throat has gotten long. It shoots well but I can not keep a bullet in the case and use it as a repeater. The barrel comes for free. There should be enough barrel (Pac-nor 1/9 #4 fluted) to make a 18+ inch 17AH on another action 77/22 or CZ.

The action as said in the 1st post is a 223 bolt face in BDL configuration
