Thanks for the heads-up... here's the link for Version 6.0:

http://www.accuratepowder.com/wp-con...1-2016_Web.pdf

Interesting looking at the load data they list 5744 as suitable for the 17 Hornet being faster than 1680 and yet velocities are not very high, max at 11.2gr for 3,424fps with a 20gr VMax yet pressure is near SAAMI max at 49,018psi

Looking further, only the 2200 powder comes close to Hornady's much-hyped Superformance load of a 20gr VMax load at 3,650fps with 13.2gr behind a 20gr Nosler Varmageddon for 3,606fps with pressures right at SAAMI max 49,934psi

Not sure how bulky 2200 powder is but surely that would have to be a well-compressed load?

Seems to me more evidence that for the 17 Hornet, using moderate pressure loads (45-47,000psi with good case life and usable in summer or winter) only around 3,400fps can be expected using a 20gr bullet.

Default 17 Hornet

The velocity stated here for 2200 seems a bit conservative. I get 3400fps+ with a 25g vmax and .200" groups in my CZ.

Default 17 HH load

I get around 3580fps with 13.9 grain of 2200 topped with 20 gr VMax without excessive pressure signs. 22" barrel. Accuracy still TBD as I have only done 3 shot groups so far with 2200
