Don't know how it shoots yet but I finally got to see a Walnut one, actually two as my and a friend rifles showed up yesterday, I'm very pleased with the build quality and appearance. Not a lottery winner wood wise but quite nice.
[img]h Looking to mount a 30mm tubed scope so will waiting a while to get it scoped and shooting. |

My Grendel landed in my hands today....Typically nice 527 American styling. I'm doing some research on what load I want to try first, factory ammo up here is unobtainium. Unfortunately I have an astronomy club event this weekend and I can't devote any time to playing with this thing
I'll report back on how it performs. |

Good luck guys. Please report back on accuracy.
I've read a few dismal reports concerning accuracy on these. Which surprises me given the round and rifle platform. What's your test targets look like?? |

Received my 527 6.5 G back form my 'smith yesterday, he commented that the inlet was too roomy for the action and the bedding should make a big difference. I also switched over to J&P Custom Products action screws while I was at it. Hope to get back out to the club for some testing soon but my hunting buddy is laid up in the Hospital having had a heart attack, two strokes and coding twice in the last two weeks. Odds are pretty badly stacked against him as he's contracted Pneumonia on top of all that.
