FANTASTIC information Bill!!!

I am a huge believer of fast twist for the right applications...I'm really happy with the outcomes with mine especially in place of many old school varmint calibers as well as new. I think this alone can make the difference between a good rifle & a GREAT rifle in practical outcomes.

I also think if people actually witnessed the additional destructive abilities out of the same weight/type bullets, same powder, length barrels etc with the only difference being twist rates...they would be totally astounded! (I don't believe accuracy is sacrificed St all.) I know I was. Think of it this way...think of a high speed drill hitting something vs a slow speed but with absolute integrity maintained until the point of impact...it just keeps drilling & exploding until all energy & mass are expended fully.

As you know my 22 TCM CZ 527 with a SS Lilja 1:7 twist completely destroyed large jacks & the largest prairie dogs we've ever seen this year...with factory ammo under 150 yards. I even saw jack heads helicoptering 8-10' in the air on neck/head shots. Amazing with less than 11 grns of powder.

Thx for all your hard work, time, energy & money invested in this pursuit...& willingness to share.

Cheers,

TOU

Default Pudding Proof!

Thanks TOU!

As they say: The proof is in the pudding!

Once it is seen how increased twist rate can improve a small cartridge like the Hornet or TCM, it's hard to understand why traditional slow twist equiped rifles are still offered.

Prose: I am not familiar with the Blazer firearms, but they must sell at these prices....the company is still viable!

Don,

The 22 TCM is proprietary Rock Island round, developed by shortening a 223Rem to dimensions to shoot in their 1911 9mm pistols. It is very similar powder capacity to 22 K-Hornet-about 9-12grains of powder. It is a great rifle round also, and many have necked it down to 17 and 20 calibers. I did several rifles necking the cartridge up to 6mm. It's a great little cartridge.
