Charlie, thanks for posting the pics.
Actually Roscoe uses his 20 Tactical. He has been shooting that rifle since he was 11. He'll turn 14 while we're in New Mexico this August.

We both thought there was only one coming back and forth out of the fence row. About 10 Min. after he shot the first one, the second one came poking out. These two were at 180 Yds. according to his rangefinder. He missed another just beyond that round green bush on the right. That lasered at 210.

20 tactical and 20VT, both great woodchuck rounds. Looks like it was a great evening!

Fine shooting for anyone, especially a kid.
Looks like he knows what he's doing already.
Keep the ammo supply in order so he can do a
lot more of it.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Default Ammo Supply

The first thing I did, after building him the rifle, was to teach him how to reload his own ammo. He knows that if he doesn't put the time in at the reloading bench that he won't be able to hunt.

Thats good. Get more satisfaction out of it when you roll your own and will understand everything a lot more. That shirt would be a good one for my son when he was that age. The chicken nuggets first of course.

Default Shirt

Yeah, at that age they're walking food processors. His first 2 questions when I told him that I'd made our flight reservations to NM were, "Has Dave still got the golf cart? and Are we going to Raton to eat in the Mexican restaurant?" Priorities!
