Default Berger 30gr. Varmint Match and the 17 FB

Anybody try this bullet in a Remington factory rifle ?
And how did it work ?
I have a box staring at me on my bench, along side some once fired prepped 17 FB cases.
They need to get together !
Just need powder suggestions.

Thanks !

Jim

18.5 gr 8208 XBR works great in my factory 700. It's a shame about the 30gr bergers no longer being available. I only have about 350 sitting here

Thanks for the load data !
It seems the world is turning against us 17 Fireball shooters !

For One ! I can't see what the 17 HH has that the Fireball can't do better !

Wait !! Don't jump on me for this ! I don't want a fight, as Santa is watching me pretty close these days !

Everybody want a 17 Fireball ! They just don't know it yet !

Thanks again !
Jim

The best thing the 17Hornet has going for it, is Hornady!
If REM would have properly committed to the 17 Fireball, It would have become a super product to them! They just throw a lot of bait out, and wait to see what rises on its own-without any further work.
It is hard to beat the Fireball Cartridge in any caliber!!!!
It's a good thing Remington is not the only source for 223 cases! We would be SK-AAAA-RROOOOOOD!

Your post is fine with me Bill !

Really enjoyed the 17FB in a dog town early this Fall !

If we ever get any snow, I want to give it a go on fox and yotes.

Default 17fb

Nothing wrong with the 17FB, lots of us have been enjoying it for years. We just call it the 17MK4. Prices have sure gone up though.
