Default 17 FB and I4227

I worked up a load of 14.0 of IMR 4227 with 19 grn Calhoon DHP, but cannot find any load data for the Fireball with 4227 and I dont have a chrony. Are there any resources, app or something, that could give me some idea of velocity, pressure, etc... The gun is a 700 26" heavy barrel. I have a sporter and Model 7 that both shoot this load pretty good too. Any help is appreciated.

My old 1973 vintage Hornady manual has data for the 17Mk4 with 4227 with a 25 grain bullet:

11.8 gr. 3200 fps
12.3 gr. 3300 fps
12.9 gr. 3400 fps
13.5 gr. 3500 fps
14.0 gr. 3600 fps
14.6 gr. 3700 fps

Wow. That's quite a spread in the maximum load in a small case 17.
I wouldn't want to touch off that 14.6 grain load in any of my guns.

Thanks everyone, duh, didnt even think to look in my older manuals. I have not had any signs of pressure with this load, but will keep an eye on it. I have a load of 14.5 I4227 with Calhoon 22 grn DBH and no pressure signs there either. That load just doesnt shoot quite as good as the 19 grn bullet.

If you have a listing for H4198 you can cut that 4gr and work up.to within

two or three gr of H4198 max. That H4227 will be 100fps or so faster. Kenny
