NIB 700 classics don't happen very often.
In my neck of the woods I've seen but one in .223, it sold for $850, was on the shelf for about three hours. I've seen a couple classic 17s that came in used and they were still pulling in 550-650 depending on condition. |

When I got my 19 badger from James, I mentioned I was going to build 250-3000 on a rem action and asked if he had one.
Said that he did but it was attached to the barrel & in a stock and box He was selling off a collection from a deceased estate, so I picked up a NIB 1983 rem classic in 250-3000, how much you ask? I can only say it was a lot less than the prices being mentioned here Johno |

When I bought my 17 Remington Classic for 425 plus tax, I thought I paid too much just for a donor action. I do not know if it was NIB or not, but the package sure looked that way FWIW. The barrel and stock were discarded as I am a lefty rifle-wise.
500 for any 700 actioned rifle seems a bit much anymore. Just one opinion here. I too was a kid once, but have since left the reseller's hype markets, and do things more simply. |
