Default Mike "Mad Dog" Groff

I received a phone call from Mike Groff (Mad Dog), he is in the hospital with a lung infection and is scheduled for surgery tomorrow. He said the doctor told him he will be in the hospital for a couple of weeks. I know there are a few members that know him and I just wanted to get the word out.

Do not know him personally, but I sure wish him a fast recovery, no surgery is pleasant. Bill K

Just be nice to the nurses, Mad Dog, and get well soon.

Wow, not another one of us in health troubles.
Sure hope he pulls thru in good shape and the
cutting ordeal helps the problems. Sometimes
I get to feeling the only reason they work us over
is to fill their pockets with more coins.

Best wishes and luck to Mike, hope he heals up quick
it's hunting season!!!

Don't know Mike personally, but used to work with what was probably some of that same Groff clan from north of Mansfield, Ohio: "stand-up" folk, and a couple were pretty fair basketball players back in the day.
If my retirement money holds out, might have to try one of his guided groundhog hunts. www.ncovarmintexpress.com Those critters are getting scarce on the farms I hunt not many miles away, although it looks like his year's total - 877 so far - might not quite hit previous years' averages. Except for possibly some Indian Summer harvested-beanfield 'hogs (my favorite kind, actually), Mike won't be missing too much action.

Hate for anyone to have to go under the knife, prayers for a successful surgery and fast recovery.

Update on Mike "Mad Dog" Groff.
I talked to Mike yesterday, he just got his staples out and is healing quite well. He said he is going to be taking it real easy for the next 10 to 12 weeks per the doctor's orders and will be ready for hunting groundhogs next year.
