Thanks for all the replies.

I will stick with the .222 for the moment, quite like the idea of it being out of fashion and old school!

although since I posted this is doesnt resemble the gun I bought.!
I hated the agricultural bolt handle so I "smoothed" it!

all the small parts are polished and re-blued.
Barrel is 3.5" shorter and screw cut in 1/2"UNF, polished to within an inch of its life and it is going in the hot tank tomorrow!

I will have a look on 6mmBR for the post but I may have found a Fox enthusiast who may be able to help me source a collar.
worse case I will make one, it serves no real purpose and has little or no stress on it so shouldn't be too tricky!
