Default 218 bee primers

I use small pistol primers in several 22 hornet rifles and have done so for decades. Accuracy is better than small rifle primers, in my rifles.

Anyone use small pistol primers in their 218 bee? Wondering if that might tighten my groups in that cartridge.

Thanks

Yes, I used the same Fed SP primers I used in the Hornet along with Lil'Gun. Got much better SD and groups doing that.

With the loads I was using in the .218Bee Ruger #1, pistol primers that I was using with my LG Hornet loads, excessively flattened & cratered when used in my Ruger Bee.
Rifle primers, Fed205 match or even CCI400's did not flatten nor attempt to crater, do I used those in the Bee.
If you are loading factory Duplication loads in the .218Bee, pistol primers should work just fine, as they did in the Hornet.
My SD's in the .218 Bee average 12 to 14fps with high vel. LG loads.
In the CZ Hornet, SD's were 18 to 19fps.
