Default p-dog shooters

while watching the news yesterday, an item about the state of utah being over-run with p-dogs came on. is it true they can't be shot? the state is organizing a trap and release program to deal with the problem. am i missing something here?

Here is the article. Guess they are tagged as endangered and are destroying towns left and right.

I haven't read the regs for Utah for a quite a while, but think there was limitations to which ones could be shot...and it was only in certain areas. I think it is state law too, not federal. I certainly could be wrong, sure wouldn't be the first time!

They only have to wait a sort time, and they will get the plague, it pays to protect.

I was just there two weeks ago. The only special regulations are on a species called the Gunninsion Pdogs. They are mainly located in the Southern parts of the state. The season just opened June 16th on the White Tails species. No license necessary and no bag limit. We had a good shoot. The colonies were scattered, but we had plenty of shooting.

"If you were to remove a prairie dog from the prairie ecosystem, the prairie ecosystem could fall apart," Krank said.

I'd like a couple hundred pair released in the central Md area. Might even talk me into helping on the shipping cost.

Default Moving PD

It sure would be nice to have your own PD field but when the monkey pox thing happened they past a Federal law you can't move them across State lines. Something like the man act don't you know.
