Default OT but important info on Obama Care

Most don't know this but included in the Obama Health Care bill you will now have to pay a 3.8% tax to your fed government on home or land sales. This is to pay for the health care.

Thats correct. If you sell your home 3.8% of your sale goes to them.

Puts a new spin on "Lets pass it then read it latter"

From what I have read so far, there are a number of "gotcha's" in Obamacare, and they are primarily aimed right at the folks that the Dems claim to be helping. Issues, other than the real estate tax, I've read about include rapidly escalating Medicare premiums - after this election. And after you become 70, a Medicare review board has to OK serious life saving procedures BEFORE they can be performed, or they become out-of-pocket expenses. The review board only works from 9-4 M-F, except for holidays. How would you like this treatment at night, weekends or holidays? If this survives, many of us WON'T as we get past that magic milestone - I'm not too far away at 67.

Excpect a 20-30% increase in your healthcare insurance cost Joe. And if you cannot afford it then the feds have a healthcare plan just for you. lol.

We worked hard our whole lives just to enjoy what we have made for ourselves being it large or small. I don't know about you guys but I feel betrayed. No offense to my friends here from over the pond but.... having European Socialism shoved down my throat pisses me off to no end.

To each his own. I don't care who you vote for but JUST VOTE.

Default Medicare Payments ^

If you get SS, your Medicare payment goes up to $120.00 per month starting January 1, 2013. In 2014, it goes to $240.00 and some change per month! That, Leroy, is right off the top of your SS so if it's a major income factor for you, as it is for many folks, YOU are getting a payment deduction you may not be able to afford! My SS Medicare payment was under $90 per month before the jigger got into office. The first thing he did was freeze the Cost of Living Adjustment on SS. Then he took $780 BILLION dollars OUT of SS/MEDICARE to fund his gd Obamacare deal. That's why the Medicare rate HAD to go up; to replace what the spook STOLE from MEDICARE in the first place!

Default Medicare Payments Facts

This is another internet urban legend. Simply put, it just isn’t true. You can get the facts at this link if you are interested

http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/medicare.asp

The actual rates are as follows:
2012 $99.90
2013 $110.50
2014 $115.80
2015 $120.80
2016 $126.00
2017 $132.70
2018 $140.30
2019 $148.40
2020 $158.60

There is no $120 increase. The 780 billion does not come out of Medicare benefits but out of insurance payments and is used to close the “doughnut” hole in prescription payments. Medicare Part B was $96.40 in 2008 and $99.90 in 2012 . That is a $1.50 increase in four years!
There is enough to be upset about without the mis-information.
