Just last week I was in First Stop Guns in Rapid City which is just a stone's throw down the road from Dakota Arms and is a major outlet for Dakota. FS had quite a few Dakota rifles in all classes and calibers on display, and none of them had wood that caught my eye for the money asked. Pretty pricey, too.....

In contrast, I was several Coopers with very nice wood in the ~$1500+ price range, and a couple of more expensive Cooper semi-custom offerings with very nice wood for the money....
