Thumbs down Dick's and Field & Stream

There's a Dick's alongside their co-conspirator Field & Stream near my town.

A few months ago I read in American Rifleman that after the Parkland, Florida murders, Dick's and Field & Stream decided to stop selling black rifles. They didn't send their stock back to the manufacturers for credit or a refund, instead they destroyed the rifles. They have also imposed their own high-capacity magazine ban.

Icing on the cake: they hired a Washington, DC anti-gun lobbying firm to lobby our senators and congressmen on anti-gun legislation.

I wouldn't buy a pair of boot laces from either store.

The wife mentioned going into Dick's to "look around"? I told her she would be going by herself. There's enough Dick's in the world without making it a point to go looking for any.

I can hardly wait till February to see the results of their left leaning decision after 1 year from when they made the poor choice. What excuse will they drum up.

Was discussing this with a business owner today. He said if you aren't making money or sales are declining in this economy, the next recession may be your business' last.

Makes me so VERY happy to see these idiots get what they deserve. An 18 year old can go to war, die, but can't buy a gun at Dick's. Maybe shooters and gun owners will finally band together solidly and make their very large economic presence felt throughout the economy.

If the NRA focused more effort on hitting back at companies actively supporting anti gun they could be very effective in changing business's perceptions. Most people need information about who is on our side and who is against us. There is no national group working hard enough to make this info easy to get.

Hope this spreads to Walmart and all the others who discriminate against law abiding gun owners.

Default Dick's sales decline

Good thought on the NRA and even others listing those companies that support the gun control lobbies and confiscation, sales, etc.
Maybe if more of us, being NRA members or not, sent emails and letters to the NRA asking for something like a listing of such companies, and asking members to do their best to not purchase anything with them, when sales really fall off, they just might think about who and what they really want to support.
I just sent a email/contact to NRA asking about such a program or listing. Will see what return answer comes back. Just a thought ladies and gentlemen, send some email/letters also and maybe we can really show those companies where they could make more money. Bill K

Looks like they stepped on their dick. Oh well. Business should stick to making the best product they can and saying thank you at the end of every sale. That’s it.
