Default Redundant Ruger Ramblings............

Who here is a Ruger fan/lover/aficionado?

I'd fall into the "super fan" category I suppose, as I have their logo tattooed on my forearm.

I also have many of their firearms including a 1996 Ruger 77/22 K Hornet that sits at the top of my "Love list."

I just topped it off with a new Leupold VX Freedom 2-7x33 "rimfire moa" scope, in #4 medium gloss rings (took me 1 hour to lap them).

Here are some pics to show case this little beauty and show off a little of the "why" I love it so much.

Hope others out there have some sweet shooting little Rugers, they sure are one of my favorite setups.

All groups fired from a benchrest using 7x scope at 100 yards.

Ammo is that in which I loaded for my CZ 527 K hornet........evidently the Ruger shoots it just as well.

Scope view looking at rock pile 220 yards away.............was hoping to show off reticle, but hard to see I guess.
Anyway, it's got a hash mark for every MOA to give you hold over for 20 MOA. Pretty sweet little piece of glass for the money, with a very useful reticle.

What twist are the Ruger hornets. This CZ is to slow to shoot my CB loads. Starting to wish I had my savage back.
Was offered a trade.

Default Ruger fan- not

I’m the opposite of a Ruger fan, and I’m a slow learner.
Two 77 hornets, very poor accuracy
One 77 22 mag worse than the hornets
#1 s in 22h, 22ppc(2), and 223. Spent a fortune in fore end fixes, trigger replacements, poor accuracy
I know what you’re thinking. But I have a number of Rem 700s, Anschutz, and Sakos that I shoot that are very accurate.
And a Red label 12 ga, sent it back to factory three times after the stock cracked at the grip. They replaced it free each time.
I wouldn’t bend over to pick up a free Ruger long gun.

Some people have all the luck......if I was you I'd stay far away from anything Ruger. I cant blame you for doing so.

Thanks Matt,
I think you will enjoy that .17 WSM in the Ruger flavor or your choice, they have 3 variations of the 77/17 WSM to choose from now

In Ruger rifles I currently have a

77/17 WSM Walnut Varmint
77/22 VBZ 22lr
77/22 22 mag
77/22 K hornet

77 VT 204 Rug
77 VT 6ppc

10/22
Ruger AR-556 (AR-15)

Ruger #1 in 22ppc

In typing that out, I realize I need to buy many more...........but, the ones I have are all excellent in all regards, particularly accuracy.

The only "bad" Ruger I've had was a Mini 14 (but, do they make any "good mini 14" ??)

The two Ruger Revolvers I have are a

Single Six 4 5/8" 22lr/22mag convertible
Super RedHawk 7.5" 44 mag

All my Rugers shoot extremely well

Not a fanboy but have owned a few that really like. blackhawks, gp100, sp101, wasn't a big fan of my LCP and love my MKII pistol (5.5" bull)

would like to get another GP100 one day and the LCR's have been on my list of someday.

Their long guns haven't really ever peaked my interested though with the exception of maybe trying a american ranch with the AR mag well but will likely go the Howa Mini route instead for one of my boys.
