Default Small Caliber Cure for the Blues

As some of you know I have been ridden with the Cancer for awhile. Seems like every time I get rid of it, it pops up some place else. Well I got it bad in the right side of my face now. It.s spreading behind my Ear and the pain is unbelievable. I have been on a Patch of Fetanyl (sp) for awhile. It's the stuff Prince OD'd on. Bad stuff and 300 times more potent than Morphine. So being the responsible gun owner I am I wouldn't think of handling a firearm while on it.

Well I couldn't take it any longer. Was driving me crazy. So I stopped taking it for a week lol. Pain was like Chinese Torture Number 9. But I got to go to the Range. Shot the Marlin 22LR. My Ruger M77 in .22 mag. And my buddy brought out the Savage 17HMR. A one hour trip turned into a four hour shoot lol. I shot extremely well for an old sick guy. It was just what I needed. The entire time we were there I was in no pain. Maybe I was just having too much fun to realize it.

Well I got home and put on a Patch. The pain slowly went away. I had a PEK (sp) Scan done Friday. They are scheduling me for surgery in Philly in a week as long as nothing else shows up. Hoping to be healed up in time for the Saubier Shoot down at Ray's. Would really like to meet a bunch of you guys. I may look a little scary though. My face is starting to look like a cross between Frankenstein and Hillary

Steve, shooting is definitely therapeutic. I'm glad you got a break from the craziness and enjoyed yourself. Will be praying for you good health and an end to this trying time. Keep your chin up.

Frankenstein and Hilliary is not as bad as Fienstien and Hilliary. Would really be horrible with a bit of Pelosi in the mix.

Good on you for getting out and I wish you a full recovery.

The reason I missed the last 3 was I always had a surgery or was recovering when we had the shoots. I have the Hotel reserved and am planning on being there Ray.

Steve:

Sorry to hear it's so bad for you.
Sure hope they get it cleared up before long.
Cancer is such a scary thing for anyone, more so
when it can't be cleared up.

Talk to Sicero and find out what's he's been taking the last few years.
Seems to have set his back where he can get out and do things again. Til this one, he was just about SOL.

Best to you, keep us informed.

God Bless you, Steve. Hang on to that sense of humor and, of course, plan another trip to the range.

Stevo,

Hope you can overcome this. Meanwhile, maybe this link will help with the pain.
