O/T re 7.62x39 Improved
I know this isnt small cal, but I value the knowledge here.
Firstly its a CZ. Icve been looking at varrious improved cases, so far the best seems to be simply running a 6mm PPC reamer 0.125" deeper. Therby keeping the short neck and increasing powder capicity. I am told this will result in approx 10% increase in velocity & a pretty simple task to carry out If I were to this would it work by simply getting the neck of 6mm PPC die ground out to take the x39 case neck? Maybe a Lee collet die in x39 would still work. Appreciate any ideas Johno |

7.62 Covert gets you a smidge more, uses 7.62 X 39 brass or Grendel, 6.5 Gren dies with appropriate neck size bushing and button. seats with standard 7.63 x 39 or Horn 30 cal seater. Headspace is the same as Grendel or 6.5 LBC.
Considerably faster than 300 blk with the same subsonic capability's. |

Thanks for the tips, do you think a standard x39 collet die would still work on the improved case?
