My 3$ shooting sticks. I went to Home Depot bought (2)42"x1\2" Dowel Rods, (1) 1 1/4" screw and nut, and the true kicker is two tube of heat shrink. All this builds the perfect shooting sticks. Varmint Al has the pattern I just used round sticks.

First thing that comes to my mind is my Leica Geovid rangefinder binos. Very helpful and a joy to use in many different hunting situations, but mine get the bulk of their use on prairie dogs.
Another would be my scopes that have custom reticles with holdover dots

The obvious is T.P. but,,,
As far as "gear" goes,, I'd have to put a good comfortable seat pretty high on the list.
Wheather sitting at a bench or on the ground a hard, uncomfortable seat can sure make for a long day. Especially when trying to set perfectly still while Predator hunting... |

Crooked Horn Bino System
I have a nice pair of Pentax 10x50 binocs. Put the normal binoc strap on them and let them hang from your neck and you'll have more chiropractor bills than a WWE wrestler. With the Crooked Horn Bino System (about $15 at walmart) I can wear them all day without any pain in the neck. My binocs are heavy, and I really don't mind carrying them around at all.

I can do without shooting sticks, fancy optics, sent-absorbing clothes, etc. Growing up on the farm, when I did my most shooting, I never had these things. The ONE thing I would consider that I 'need' is a good pair of boots. Danner, Wolverine, Matterhorn; which ever feels the best on your feet and the lighter the better - heavy boots can cause knee problems after awhile.
Spend more on your boots.

Nicely stated MarinePMI.
For me it would be the Geovids Dan mentioned and my BR Pivot bench that rides perfectly in the back of my truck.

Oh, I almost forgot. The high tech, dental floss, "Montana" wind flag attached to my truck antenna.
Gotta have it.
