Default Rugage

I have a Ruger M-77 for sale in the classifieds. It has been modified by installing a Criterion Savage style barrel with barrel nut. A comment was made there about the modification. It is quite simple and minor. The large shank Savage style barrel has a reduced diameter tenon cut and retreaded to fit the Ruger, leaving a full dia. section for the barrel nut. When the barrel is installed at correct headspace, the front of the bolt may interfere with the breach end of the barrel. I removed about .010" from the end of the left locking lug and the barrel, allowing it to close with clearance. Rifle has over four thousand rounds through it set up this way, works fine.
