This is the first installation of a Lawton/ Nosler side bolt release. Other than one miscalculation (due to nerves) it's going to go in flawlessly. The miscalculation was tool size, it wasn't taken into account when I wrote my distance down. Next time there will be no gap at the ends of the release. The pivot pin will be drilled tomorrow and pictures added.

There is a roll pin that holds it in, Adam hasn`t drilled it yet...

I was just wondering if it was a screw that went into a blind hole from the bottom or a pin.

Phillip nailed it, a small 1/16" hardened pin is used to capture the release.

Nice work!

A small set screw from the bottom in place of the roll pin / dowel looks cleaner as you do not need to drill through the top of the receiver.
