Thanks Pete:

Damn the price is scary! $105

Think I'll see how long his straitening will last.
Had a couple over loads I believe.
Blanked one, blew the primer out of the next one.
Gunsmith said the "hook is just bent a bit".

Ah, missed it. That's just the ejector, I need the Extractor.
Didn't see that listed.

Hi George,
That page was for the extractor so not really sure now which part you are referring to but if you go to the diagram page and click on the part you need it will take you to the page with the detail.

I believe the L461, at least the early ones, have an extractor that is about 1-1/8 long, and is not a pivoting extractor like the A series. They are rare and usually very expensive or will have to be made. Don't know of any current commercial source for them.

Default Sako Extractor

I just bought an early L461 long extractor from Western Gun Parts for about $92, shipped. If you talk to them, ask for a long extractor that fits the L461 Browning Safari.

Tinman is correct, they are rare. Reason is any Sako shooter generally wouldn't sell one if he had it. The Browning Safari mentioned uses the early L461 action. I imagine any source selling that particular part would be selling a used part. I've tried the Browning angle before with no luck but you never know. Some Smith doing warranty work for Browning may have a bunch of them.

Ok, thanks guys.

Gunsmith said he couldn't find any either.
This one's only bent, not broken.

He's got it straightened and back in now.

I just thought maybe someone here might have one
not needed.

Thanks, all of you.
