Default thanks

Thanks for the help. I know it would help to upload a picture, but for some reason I can't. Try to attach a file and I get this message "You have uploaded the maximum of 0 files", oh well. I will email the pic to anyone it they think it would help.

Default Varmint Extreme

The Varmint Extreme also has a bent bolt handle and a polished receiver.

jwv2001,
John, just checked my "varmint Extreme's bolt handles. The M21's are bent but the M22 isn't. The receivers seem to be bit more polished but not much.

Before the 4 digit serial numbering, prefixes were all over the place.
In addition to the ones I already listed, I've got VL, VG, PVB, PVJ (2)
One of the PVJ's is a "Classic' and the other a 'Western Classic' at the complete opposite of the spectrum.
Go figure?

Just to add to the confusion on prefixes, had a 'Classic' with the "VE" prefix.

I ordered that one on 7/12/02. Total price with shipping was $2310. Since I'm left handed but prefer right-hand bolts, the rifle was ordered sans cheekpiece. LeRoy was still with Cooper at the time and I guess it pained him a little to omit that cheekpiece. Caliber is .243 Ackley Improved.

I'd say the pic you posted is an MTV. The VE's have AAA wood, that pic doesn't look like its AAA claro. Looks like AA claro. The newer VE's don't come with the vents cut, it would have to be special ordered with vents.... special request. I'd think anyone wanting to say its a VE would have the original paper work to prove it.
