Howa Question
Anyone out there shooting a Howa/Legacy Arms Mini Action .223?
I've been kicking around buying one, but would like to know if they're any good before I take the leap - or just buy another Savage. |

Never seen them last very long on the line at the groundhog shoots . Everyone went back to shooting the Savage LRPV 7 twist .223 . My sure thing is the Savage

They look good for a conversion into something more interesting. Not a fan of a two stage trigger though. I will watch the thread with interest. Have pondered buying one to convert into a 6x45 for my son's first deer gun. I don't see any youth stocks available though.

I have one in 223 and I really like it,my biggest complaint is the magazine release.Way to easy to release without knowing but I trimmed part of the release tab and now it isn't much of a problem. The trigger can be gotten use to it isn't that bad.

I had a 2 stage trigger on a Ruger m77 and for focused shots on ground hogs I got use to it and liked it. It never worked well on fast rushed shots because I didn't have time to focus on pulling through the first stage and focusing on the micro pull of the second stage. For my purposes i want to make it a deer/coyote gun and the 2 stage would drive me nuts. They do have their place though. I would imagine in a praise dog town or off the bench it's a non issue. Just my thoughts.
