I have way more experience with the 30 Gold's. Have killed over 400 coyote with them. Have only killed about 75 with Chan's 30's.

Would not say the Gold's are better. They are different though. I get just very slightly better accuracy with the Golds and I think they also have a slightly better BC. I can't get quite the same velocity out of Chan's, close - within about 40 fps, but I start seeing stiff bolt lift if I try to match the velocity I get with the Gold's, both using Big Game. And that's at a full grain less powder using the Nagel's.

They both kill coyote very, very well. I've no complaints with either. Wouldn't mind having a lifetime supply of both on the shelf and leaving a goodly number of each behind when I die. I just sleep better at night knowing I'm never going to run out of this stuff .

Only problem is it's a cack handed rifle with the bolt handle on the right, thankfully I do have a 17HeBee Cooper with the bolt on the left.........just hasn't got a TK serial number.

I called the phone number 3 times yesterday during the business hours.
The machine said that voice mail has not been set up by the user.I will have to
just shoot what I have for now.

Cool

I talked with Todd around the end of October and he wouldn't give me the name of the place he sold his bullet line, but told me that the new owners hoped to have the line up and running by or around Thanksgiving and that he would let the new owners make the official announcement.

And I believe it is safe to say that he has none in stock.

I sure hope that the new owners make those bullets with the same care and attention to detail that Todd did. I visited his shop a couple times and while his bullet operation was relatively simple, he was anal on the step by step procedure to make them. WD

Default Whatever Todd did...

He sure did it right.I have shot those 30 Golds to 1000 yards and they did great.
It seems like when ever Todd sells something it gets ruined,I sure miss
Small Caliber News and I will miss His Gold bullets too.I hope he kept some for himself

Thanks for the update!

Doesn't sound very promising - vendors that don't respond to e-mails or phone calls are my least favorite kind. I think I'm officially not anxious to be one of the first in line to try them if they ever get there.

But I'll keep my ears open for developments I guess.

Lightbulb

Talked with Todd on the phone for quite a while this morning.

And to our (Customers) collective dismay, the fellow he sold the line to is still not up and running.

And once again Todd is a stand up guy, and he would not divulge to me who he sold the line to and I respected that. Todd hopes that they are successful in their venture and he's also hoping that they produce bullets with at least his measure of quality. WD
