i have a Winchester Model 70 in 308 that has a stripper clip slot in a piece that is screwed to the receiver using the rear bridge scope base screws. The rear sight is a peep attached to the left side of receiver.
A similar part could be made, if it is not available already.

And I have a 1967 Winchester M70 Target that has a factory machined stripper clip slot. It is a longer action than the standard M70 short action. It does have peeps front and rear. It was a High Power/DCM match rifle.

The target shooting websites like Creedmoor or OK Webber used to sell the clip adapters, but I haven't looked there for a while.
