I am not a wood guy so Bell & Carlson model 2466s for my two model 7s. They are sporter barrel channels, not much room for anything over a #2 contour barrel. There are a couple on ebay for sale, a laminate one and traditional wood one. Boyd's has a good selection of laminated only styles for different barrel contours.

For $99, hard to beat their Thumbhole laminate. I've had several all except one were drop ins, last one needed very minor relieving. Comb height is just right for me, but, the cleaning rod handle can catch the back end of the comb when pushing.
Suits me to carry in the field and also reasonably wide for end to use a front bag.
Definitely value for money.
Ps. I'm referring to Boyds.
Ken.

The Mod 7 is essentially a 600/660 with a few changes but is still 1/2+_ shorter thgan a 700 SA.
Aloha, Mark

I've got a HS Percision on one, a Bell&Carlson on one and my newest is a Extreme rifle works. I'm pretty partial to the H&S but the new one is nice for hunting rig.

Nothing on their website about a sale, but thanks, I'll keep an eye out.

Did find this...50% off coupon code.
