Move...never again!!
Some of you have noticed that I haven't been on here much lately, matter of fact I got a few PM's wondering if I had died and didn't let anybody know. Well Im alive and now living in Node WY (population 4). I started this move the first part of Aug. and I still have stuff to bring up from Cheyenne. My advise to anyone that is moving there shop and reloading stuff to just sell it all and buy new stuff when you get there. I pretty well have my shop setup, reloading bench....sort of. I tried to rechamber a rifle yesterday and spent most of my time looking for stuff to do the job, not sure if I will ever find it all. It is kind of cool unpacking boxes that others packed...sort of like Christmas ya never know what you will find. If all go's well I should be able to build, load and shoot out of the same building. Its kind of nice to wake up and see a couple hundred Antelope out in the field. I got my first Coyote here the other day about 50 yards from the house.
PS yes a lady had a lot to do with this move. Hope to be on here more now that things are slowing down. Bob |

Glad you're getting settled in. I hate moving. Been active duty for the last 14+ years. Had 7 different duty stations so I completely understand moving.

Have not done it for many years but, you are right, moving is a gigantic pain in the butt. Gotta ask, why'd you move to such a big town? Is the population now 5, or was it three before you showed up? Either way, your' arrival represents quite a population explosion!

Move to Node....
So that's where you went!!!
Been through Node once, while back...I did not know it had so many people!!!! I sympathize on the horrors of moving....especially after many years of Professional Accumulation! Send your new contact info to my phone, or PM, Bob. I do not want to lose contact with you! Say Hello to your Lady Friend for me!!! Wish you both the BEST! Your Bud, Bill

Hey Bob - glad to hear your plans worked out for you and the move is complete. I will have to gps your new location to hopefully catch up on my 2016 Spring PD Safari.

Been worried about you
Hi
Really glad you're OK. Thought you and my old SAS bullet dies were rusting away somewhere in a cold graveyard! Bye, Bill |

node reminds me of the small town i grew up in. in 1960 the population was 1060, 1970, 1060, 1980, 1060 1990, 1060, 2000, 1060. someone ask how can that bee? well everytime some girl in town gets pregnant some guy has to leave town, thus the population remains the same.
that said, i hate moving.

Glad you are back. You were missed. As to the moving, I know exactly what you are talking about, I moved over 20 times in the last 40 years. Even though we had professional movers every time, it is still a hell of a lot of work. The last move took two 55" vans to move all the stuff. That said, the chance to see and live so many different places is something I would never give up.
All the best in the new spot. |
