NEWS FLASH..!!
No animals, birds, human beings or other assorted critters were harmed in the consumption of 100 rounds of 17M2 ammo this AM. And the pistol survived also. Next step in the evolution of this highly questionable saga is to pick up the Kimber 22LR Conversion Kit when I get back home on Tuesday. I still have the 17M2 slide and barrel to keep as a "Non-shooter Collector Piece" and I will soon have another nice Kimber 1911 22LR handgun to use for less than the price Ruger expects to get for a new stainless Target Model Ruger MKIV............ Win win......... MAGA, etc....... -BCB

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I was going to pick up a Kimber 22 LR conversion kit for this 17 M2 pistol. I've had it for several months and just today I finally got around to shooting it.
Two target pics with 100 rounds in each target were shot at 15 yards with a standard double hand hold. The first target is with a box of Remington Golden bullets to see if it would digest cheap ammo. I moved the sight right and up a bit to get it on target. All 100 rounds cycled without a single hiccup. This second pic is of the target shot with CCI Mini-Mags. It seems to like them extremely well as I expected it to, and they definitely ejected from the pistol with a lot more authority that the Remington bulk stuff which didn't surprise me either. Mini-Mags and WW plated bullets will be the bulk of what it will see, but its nice to know I can shoot about anything in it with good results. And a pic of the Kimber with the silver anodized conversion kit....... It digested all 200 rounds without a single hitch. Now I need to get a couple of extra magazines ordered to fill up the mag pouch..... -BCB
