Default 22 wildcat out of 30-30

Hi,
I am interested to hear if there has been any 22 wildcats made from the 30-30 case ? its close to the hornet in rim diameter and thought it may be able to be used with that bolt face , I tried a google search but couldnt find any info , Any pro's or con's with this brass ?

Cheers
Lowey

Default 30-30 case

Well the hornet head is .350,and the 30-30 is .422,The 30-30 has Been used and is still being used in many wildcat cartridges;20 & 22 cal Wasp,20 Classic, etc.Best in single shot, break open (TC) and falling block, actions, but has been used in bolt actions, for many years.

It isn't a wildcat but the 219 Zipper is a necked down 25/35 which in turn is a necked down 30/30. There are some "Improved" versions of the Zipper out there.

So I guess you could say that there are several wildcats related through the Zipper.

Default 30-30 wildcat

I've got a Encore barreled rifle in 22/30-30AI. The guy I bought the barrel from took a new Encore 223 Varmint barrel and had OTT rechamber it. I haven't shot it much, capacity is slightly less than a 22-250 so I imagine performance is also slightly less. I also have a 25-35 and a 219 Zipper on Contender barrels, both can use the 30-30 case as a parent, just easier to buy them in their finished size. EABCO has a full line of cartridges based on the 30-30 parent, they call them the BRM's. Have to say the 22 Hornet casehead size is nowhere near the 30-30.

Default 30 carbine case

The .30 Carbine case is closer than the 30/30. It has also been a wild cat base. Foxhunter played with it some if memory has not failed me.

The Wasp was a shortened 219 Zipper with the neck blown out.
