We would hate to see the West turn into Texas where there is very little public lands, and the opportunity to recreate (hunt, fish, hike, etc.) is limited to puchasing expensive leases. Turning federal lands into State Trust lands will result in the mass sale of these once public accessible lands to the highest bidder as mentioned in the article, since States' do not have the funds or mandate to manage for recreational opportunity."
