Alan, I can just hear some Dad grumble: "Son, you just shot a whole tin of pellets, and did'nt even get one of them on paper!".

I know this is serious stuff. Just had to laugh when I saw the picture with all those mangled pellets.

I had a buddy years ago accidently shoot a .308 out of a 25-06 Remington 700. It did fire nothing happened to the gun or him. Just a good thing it was not a Barnes X ! I have a book on Roy Weatherby, and when he was developing his MK V action .300 WBY to test the strength he put a 180 gr bullet in the bore and loaded a round behind it and fired. Nothing happened to the action, the barrel had a slight bulge !
