Default Benchrest primers vs. magnums

Any of you guys get more fps on the chronie with the small rifle primers? more velocity with the same load using a small rifle magnum primer over a benchrest small rifle primer?

Default yes...more fps

In the 223Rem., I've had a 20-30 fps increase with magnum primer.

Here a couple year ago when I couldn't get BR-4s, I called CCI and was informed the priming mix was the same as a standard 400 abiet a thinner cup. Kenny

Default BR primers

BR-4's have the ignition characteristics of the 400 and the cup thickness of the 450.
