ASW and the TCM brass
I ordered 100 cases of the TCM brass to look over and experiment with, and the cases look very nice at first glance. I haven't measured necks or weighed cases but the flash hole punches look pretty clean and I haven't noticed any burrs yet.
On the ASW side - the package arrived in good shape, the brass was inside a bubble wrap bag, the bag was marked that it was a 100 count by weight bag, and there were 100 in it. I am not sure if they cull when they are bagging , all the cases looked pristine. They do encourage buying bulk, the shipping and handling would have been only 3 dollars more for me to order 1000 cases as opposed to the 100 I ordered. |

I have 1000 pcs now, I agree, they look very nice, seem quite uniform. There is a little difference in weight but I noticed the OAL's r not all the same. I'm guessing a quick trim to even them all out would bring them closer. Just no way to tell without shooting them. Hopefully it's much better than the 17HH brass and the necks have consistent tension once loaded.
It's not going to be easy to anneal these either, IMO. They are just so darn short. Thinking an induction annealer may be the way to go. Anyone tried one yet on the shorted cases? Base and shoulder dimensions were very consistent on the 10 that I pulled out and checked. Proof will be in the groups once we get a reamer. Should be VERY close to the ultimate GS shooting case!

Ammo Supply Warehouse (www.ammosupplywarehouse.com)
I only ordered 100 so I could see what I had to work with. Didn't check length, weight or check flash holes. A "quick glance" at the flash holes looked pretty good. Spoted one chip but I figured I'de get to that once I figured out how good the brass was. Sure beats making anything that short from 5.56/.223 or Fireball brass. Knocked about 5 steps out of the forming process. |
