Default Blow-Up Pics after leaving Jag in 17VHA Contender

This was posted over on AR15.com today. Does anyone know the full story, or the person who this happened to? It doesn't look like any of the guys I know with 17VHA Contenders, but you never know the entire story from what's posted on the net.

Thanks Adam!

Is the shooter okay?

Also, was it a jag left by him in the barrel (looks like an MGM sock in one of the pics)?

OUCH!! Unless I am shooting a string of shots, I NEVER NEVER NEVER chamber a round and shoot until AFTER I look down the barrel for a "forgot". I've had guys on the range double loading muzzleloaders after jibber jabbering with someone. I caught one guy who did it TWICE in one afternoon session. Hate to think what would have happened had I not been there. Check that bore!

Seems to be okay, mostly pride and flesh. He cleaned it at the bench and the jag came off.

That guy should be happy it was a 17VHA and not a boomer of a round or he might night have a face left.

OMG!

He was fortunate not to have been blinded or worse.
