No point emailing if I hadn't set things up right. Once I'd worked out, from others trying and the 'just call Redding' comments here, that there was a problem with the actual die itself I gave them a call, from the UK.
They sent a new part out FOC and commented that the had made a 'revised' part, so they probably knew about this already. Sadly,. most of the retailers here always default to 'user error', they are, for the most part, not interested much in their particular field other than to sell what has the highest mark up or the most popular, they'd be just as happy selling golf clubs or widgets. They certainly aren't that interested in customer support or putting things right. We don't have the same level of accessibility to advice, shops, gunsmiths, experts, fellow shooters as you do in the US, even more so when it comes to small, relatively niche calibers (so anything that isn't 222, 223, 243, 270 or 308). That's why I thought I'd ask here first and see if anyone had run into the same problem. |

I'm impressed with Redding, they have fixed a few problems I've had, some of which I have self inflicted with no quibbles. If only UK manufacturers had the same service ethic that you guys enjoy in the US! |
