Default Great Customer Service-NIKON

I sent a Buckmaster 6-18x44 AO (pre-side focus Buckmasters) in for service on 8/1/2016. It is the only NIKON I have had to fail out of approximately 30 I have purchased and used over the years. My best recollection of age of this one would be that it was a 2000-2003 model year. I did not have a receipt for it. Nikon received the scope and on 8/8/2016 I got a confirmation that it was covered under their LIFETIME warranty. I called the service number since there was a problem with their website and spoke with a very pleasant and helpful individual who informed me that parts were no longer available for that scope and I was being shipped a brand new Prostaff 5 4.5-8x40 with the Nikoplex reticle. I received the scope on 8/22/2016 and it already resides on a Tikka T3 Super Lite in 223 and is ready for life in the fields of vermin. Thank you Nikon for great products and super service!! GHD
