That has kept me from owning a CZ.

The safety held me back also (and I seldom use a safety)
but at one time they was so much less $$$ I tried one and then I had a math problem. That said I'm still a little partial to those nasty shooting 77/hornets.

I've got a browning and I like it. Mine is a calling rifle and I want it to be like all my others as far as the safety goes. That said the cz's are a light and handy package.

One observation I have made about the CZ527 safety is-
It feels natural pulling it back oppose to pushing it forward due to its design. What I mean is a Remington model 7 safety feels natural both ways due to the design and the grip, like a light switch where as the CZ swings and is harder to put on safe oppose to pulling it off safe. So hows this for focus- See a squirrel, aim, push trigger forward (set trigger) pull safety back, squeeze trigger back. Forward/back/back. Its all muscle memory. |

As a member here once said, think of it as cocking a hammer gun.

I'd take the CZ every time. I have one - it shoots very well. I've had that model in .17 Ackley, .17 Hornady and .22. Couldn't fault any of them. It's a fantastic little action.
