Default Cast Boolit Molds for .22 Horent, etc.

NOE is taking orders for this mold. 46 g. WFN Plain Base and 45 g. WFN Gas Check. I expect it will work well in the .22 Hornet and others. I plan on using it when hunting tree squirrels ,etc. at lower meat saving velocities.

Default 22 cast bullets

hi jim,
you are really, really, going to have and slow that bullet down, a cast bullet going over 1400 fps, will most likely have to be a gas checked one, and even at that speed, you will mess the tree rat up pretty good. i used to shoot pistol silhouettes with a ten inch contender barrel, and some times using a cast bullet, you still might damage a steel target. go 22 rimfire,
or 17m2. good luck in your search.......dan

Wish that was a .228, I'd be on that for my 22WCF.

Lyman's #225438 GC 45gr. mould is a good one for the Hornet - even 16" twists. Mine come out at .225 and the .225 sizer barely touches them, but lubes perfectly.
The shoot ragged hole groups at 50yards and can be run from 1,300fps to 2,000fps.

I got in on this one, hard to resist since I have a "few" hornets. I already have his lighter 37 gr. version but decided I needed this also.

Al makes great moulds, this will be my 11th one so far.
