Default cz 527 custom

A quick run down of the rifle, A cz527, its been a real project for me to get this, glad I did, it's great

-cz profile stainless maddco barrel finished at 23' with a 1-10 rate of twist, 223 match chamber - bead blasted
- set trigger set at 12oz and unset 2lb - crisp!
-bedded
-lips machined off the bottom metal to allow the use of 3 rd flush fitting mags
-action cerakoted armour black and microslicked
-Kahles helia C 2.5-10x50 scope, sitting in leupy rings, Ideally I would of liked to of mounted it a little lower, but this was as low as I could get after scouring the specs of the 30mm rings available...

Here are some pics I got of it together

The scope was moved forward a little since these photos, as I do the load development and lay it over a few pigs and foxes, I will throw a few more photos up, thanks for looking.

I must also thank Lee from Trentech Engineering, for doing a great job and putting up with me along the way, I recommend his work to anyone after some smithing done.

Cheers,
Jackson.

That's a good set up you have there. I did a similar thing to my Sako L461.

Sweet rig there Jacko, I bet she shoots as well as it looks. What profile is the barrel? What state are you from?

Cheers Macca.

Jacko I am not Macca of Ausvarmint. The CZ 527 rifles are nice rigs for sure, I have the same model in a 17 Rem and its my favourite walkabout/out of vehicle varmint gun. I am thinking about the same rifle in 223, they just have a nice feel about them. Also from NSW down south, did you have to wait long for the barrel to be made? What projectiles are you going to run in the new rig? Keep us posted with the build, you have hours of fun there.

Cheers Macca.

I am from Hay mate.

I think I waited about 10 weeks for the barrel mate, It was a bit of a one of run though, they don't make many of that profile barrel, let alone a 1-10 twist, if you were to get a rebarrel, speak to Lee at Trentech and tell him, he will know the profile your after, then you can continue to use the rifle until it is ready!

I think at this point a 53 grain vmax mate, seems like a good match between ballistic coefficiency, weight and performance!

Edit to add - mate, pm me your email address and I will send you a full run down of the rifle, barrel + available maddco profiles, twists and chamberings available from trentech and maddco, whatever you need to know

The smith was a fella by the name of Lee Trengove, his business is "Trentech Engineering" in Queensland, Australia.

Hi mate, haven't done much, been sitting my final university exams 3 hours away from home, that'll change in about 48 hours though, the home farm is 100 000 acres of mixed farming, irrigation, cropping, and livestock, so plenty of pests to try it out on soon
