Default Small Caliber Coons?

Would 86 proof be considered small caliber?

I can usually take em the best 4 out of 5, but sometimes it takes more than one shot as these Texas coons are pretty tough.............

Best

GWB,
Did you entice those critters into range with the JB? Or did they find it on their own and are sleeping off the after affects?
I believe I could hunt coons with you any day(or night).

Default Hey, GWB

Isn't that considering "shooting over bait" using good whiskey like that! Better be careful, you may "call in" a few old drunks using that stuff! By
the way, that's good hunting! Oh, and, yeah, 86 proof would be small bore!

SShhh.

Up here some people call that a slumber party

But they're(raccoons) usually on the side of the road.

Nice work!

GW:
I enjoy the humor in your posts. Sure hope the shooter hasn't embibed too much on the hooch before going hunting though.

I can remember an enjoyable day back in the mid '60s with my late ex FIL while he and I along with JB rebuilt a Ford trans. Everytime we'd put it together there was more parts left over and it still wouldn't work. We tried blaming it on ol Jim too. Things worked out a couple days later when Jim wasn't around so it had to of been his fault that day for leaving parts out, I know we didn't do that, we were both much better mechanics.

Great story George,

and humor is mainly what it is. I've heard that the "element of truth" is what makes humor funny!

Also, I once heard something that has stuck with me lo' this many years. It went something like this. "A man should learn to keep his passions within due bounds". I've tried to apply that in my life. Consequently the consumption of "spirits" is actually minimal when combined with firearms. Usually none until the guns are put up.

I'm actually a stickler when it comes to firearms safety. Perhaps, because I've killed so many critters over the last 50 years I realize what a bullet can do to flesh and bone.

So with that in mind, Make mine

Rye, or is it "wry"?

I quit drinking in excess close to a decade ago blaming it on the dumb things I did. Still do dumb stuff but with just one less excuse!
Trivia, the original "Manhattan" was made with Rye Whiskey.
