I am going to answer your questions if I can. yes, 350 ft/ibs of energy is possible out of a 7" barrel using 125gr 9mm +P ammo.

I have no experience with 37gr Bergers, I did not even know they existed. If you consider 25gr heavy, I know something about them.

No, a 37gr bullet would not be useful in the 17FB. When it comes to 17 caliber, speed kills!
