Default Gre-Tan Rifles

On July 12 I sent an action barrel and stock to Mr. Tannel to be converted to a .17 Predator calling rifle. You can image my surprise when I got into the office today and see a large box with my name on it.

Did not expect it it returned, completed in less than one week from when he received it to when it got shipped.

Craftsmanship excellent as usual.

I suppose letting him know in advance got my name on the list and reserved a spot.

Looks likes it going to be a good weekend.
Michael

Wow heck of a fast turnaround. How long was your name on his list?

I didn't ask Greg to measure it, but you can read my reply on that post.

Greg seems to be a real exception. You call up and ask him to open a box, he calls you when your turn comes up, you ship him the parts and get your rifle back in a matter of weeks (all shipping time included). I wish everybody was like that, even me!

michael,

that is one very nice assembled rifle, and quite pleasing to the eye. the 17 predator is a coyotes worst nightmare.

Default Michael...congrats / nice rifle pkg

I'm assuming yours is a repeater.
I've had to my shoulder a BORDEN Timberland long action with a Rimrock stock (now owned by BORDEN).
You cant go wrong with a McMillan...too many out there to not be the best.

You must have excellent rapport with your gunsmith to get such fast turn-around since I know he's extremely busy.
I do everything I can to keep my smith happy....take him out to lunch...pay extra $$ with BIG TIPS...never complain...refer other people to him.
My gunsmith is the Canadian distributor for BORDEN RIFLES...so I'm very aware of the product. I'd love to order one but I have a difficult time giving up on the SAKO75 especially when I can save $$ of about 70%
